Mean $=\frac{Sum of observation }{Number of observation}$

$$\begin{gathered} =\frac{8.4 +5.6+10.9+10.8+11.5+8.0 +8.5+12.9}{8} \\ =\frac{76.6}{8} \\ =9.58 \end{gathered}$$

Step 3. Median of the data.

Arrange the data in increasing order : $15.6, 8. 8.4, 8.5, 10.8, 10.9, 11.5, 12.9$
